ATME-I MEGATEX at Textile and Sewn Products Industry Week

17 February 2010, Atlanta, GA - Atlanta’s Georgia World Congress Center will open its doors to the ATME-I MEGATEX exhibition from 18-20 May. The event, which is part of the Textile and Sewn Products Industry Week (TASPIW), will also see leading exhibitions SPESA Expo and Techtextil NA in the same hall. TASPIW will bring together leading suppliers and buyers in all areas of the textile supply chain from textile machinery to finishing products.

Co-organised by ATME-I Inc and The American Textile Machinery Association, ATME-I MEGATEX is well established in the industry’s calendar, providing a regular focus on innovations in textile machinery. For the first time, this event as part of TASPIW will also feature leading players in technical textiles and sewn products.

Demand for stand space at ATME-I MEGATEX has been strong, organisers say. Among the list of firms participating in Atlanta are American Truetzschler Inc, American Monforts, Allertex, Erhardt + Leimer Inc, Karl Mayer, Morrison Textile Machinery Co, Navis Tubetex and R A Moore, as well as pavilions from Taiwan and China. The full list of exhibitors can be found at www.atmei-megatex.com

Another highlight at this year’s event will include The AATCC International Conference. This will feature ‘something for everyone’ and include three educational tracks, poster session, student paper competition, student textile bowl, welcoming reception and the Award’s luncheon, where the Association’s most prestigious awards will be presented.  The educational tracks will feature presentations geared for all facets of the textile industry and include Concept 2 Consumer, Chemical Applications, and Materials.
