18 March 2010, Leverkusen - DyStar has reached agreement with
Lanxess owner of the DyStar production plants in Leverkusen and Brunsbüttel to restart
production at both sites in March.
This week, DyStar employees were able to enter the plants in
order to prepare for start-up of the facilities, the company said. According to
DyStar, orders for the necessary raw materials to start production have already
been placed.
Lanxess, owner of the buildings and facilities used by DyStar
in Leverkusen and Brunsbüttel, reached an agreement with DyStar about the
future use of the facilities at the end of last week and new lease and service
agreement for the buildings and facilities in Leverkusen has been concluded. The
contract obligates DyStar to properly
decommission the facilities at the end of production and the buildings and
premises in Brunsbüttel will be sold to DyStar including all obligations for
demolition.
In addition DyStar says its bonded warehouse products have
been released and so the company will be able to supply those products to
customers again as of this week.
