TenCate Advanced Armour has been selected as supplier to Daimler AG for the ballistic protection of the Daimler Zetros protected transport trucks for the German Bundeswehr.
State of the art armour kits have been developed in close cooperation between Daimler and TenCate Advanced Armour and the order is thought to be a clear indication of the capability of TenCate Advanced Armour in providing high-end armour solutions to quality driven automotive customers. No financial details were disclosed.
“Extensive protection of truck drivers and passengers is a key specification of the customer. Elaborate design and testing work has been done by TenCate Advanced Armour to have the protective solution qualified for the Daimler Zetros truck. The work has resulted in a solution that fully satisfies the strict requirements on protection level and weight as well as a number of secondary properties,” TenCate said in a statement.
