A market leader in the manufacturing of industrial machine needles Groz-Beckert will be showcasing at the FSB Cologne international trade fair for amenity areas, sports and pool facilities. The show will be held from 22-25 October, welcoming about 600 exhibiting companies from 40 countries.

The company will present tufting needles, loopers, reed finger modules and tufting knives. The focus of the presentation will be Gauge Part System for the production of tufted textiles, among others, also for artificial turf.

Tufting Gauge Part System

Groz-Beckert developed the Tufting Gauge Part System to meet the steadily growing requirements of the industry for precision and process reliability. According to the company, there are benefits that the technology brings for the production of tufted floor coverings.

The coordinated combination of materials and the functional interaction of all tool components said to have convincing results, in qualitative and economic terms.

For the production of artificial turf Groz-Beckert presents the components of the Gauge Part System, such as grass tufting needle SAN-S. It is characterised by its drop-shaped eye and narrow point. Through its use the penetration force is said to be up to 40 % lower compared to standard needles. According to the company, it provides less thread breakage, higher machining speeds and outstanding product quality.

Other features

A further topic at the trade fair is the new generation Cut Pile Looper ‘CPL SC’ (SC = Super Cut). After extensive tests with modified measurements and special material composition the Tungsten Insert was redesigned. The result is a looper with a long service life and multiple resharpening substance. In combination the CPL SC is said to achieve a really good price-performance ratio.

Laser labeled tufting knives from Groz-Beckert  are said to offer a consistent high quality, ideal service life and a reliable cutting performance.
