In an event held alongside the ITMA exhibition in Milan this week, ACIMIT, the Italian textile machinery association, presented two of its member companies – Pafasystem and Brazzoli – with Green Label awards for achievements related to reducing the carbon dioxide emissions generated in the operation of their machines.
Pafasystem, based in Prato, produces spinning machinery, and Senago-based Brazzoli specialises in fabric dyeing technologies.
The Green Label Awards have arisen from ACIMIT’s Sustainable Technologies project which was initiated in 2010 and has involved over 40 of the association’s member companies dedicated to constant environmental improvements.
“Sustainability has been the main focus of the research and innovation efforts of Italian manufacturers for many years,” said ACIMIT president Alessandro Zucchi. “They are committed to providing sustainable technology solutions that are effective in cutting down on both consumption and production costs.”
“The Italian Green Label Award is recognition for the work put in by all of our team,” said Pafasystem CEO Francesca Fani. “We consistently work together as a unit to make our production processes more efficient.”
“We joined the Green Label project right from the start, because we feel that Italian textile machinery manufacturers play a prominent role in promoting new green technology trends,” added Greta Banfi, technical department manager at Brazzoli.
As the host country for ITMA 2023, Italy has the largest presence at the show this week, with a total of 422 exhibitors
