Bio-Fiber Organic soil conditioner is a new product being launched in the USA by Winston-Salem, North Carolina-based Beyond Peat.
It is made with a patented and proprietary process for extracting biofibres from horticultural and agricultural residuals to create a sustainable, renewable resource that optimises land use, limits water consumption and maximises resources.
It also absorbs up to seven times its own own weight in water, producing up to 25% more air space than traditional peat moss, to improve nutrient availability and soil quality.
“Bio-Fiber Organic soil conditioner is the perfect solution for home gardeners who care about sustainable products, organic ingredients and performance,” said Tim Rensch, president of Beyond Peat. “We’re happy to offer this peat-free product to consumers because it gives peace of mind while yielding excellent results – it’s a win-win solution all around.”
