BMW’s iNEXT for 2021

BMW will begin producing the BMW iNEXT fully-electric car at its plant in Dingolfing, Germany, in 2021.

It’s not year clear, however, how much the new car will be based on carbon fibre composites, since their intensive use has pushed up the prices of the current i3 and i8 models. These haven’t sold as well as was hoped at the start of BMW’s hugely-ambitious i programme – which included building one of the world’s most modern and largest carbon manufacturing plants with SGL at Moses Lake, in the USA from scratch.
