Levi’s is partnering with The Woolmark Company for the launch of its new Torsten quilted boot with an inner lining of Australian Merino wool.
Merino wool is a 100% natural, renewable, biodegradable and recyclable fibre and its durable nature guarantees high-performance, Levi’s says. The Woolmark-certified inner lining is designed to maintain structure and shape whilst drawing on the intrinsic qualities of the fibre including breathability, moisture management and odour resistance.
The upper is constructed from leather certified by the Leather Working Group – the world’s leading environmental certification for the leather industry – and is combined with an insert in eco-Cordura, created with reclaimed waste resources. Both the sole and the laces are made from recycled materials.
“The inclusion of Merino wool in the Levi’s boot not only highlights the versatility of fibre and also its sustainable nature,” says Australian Wool Innovation CEO John Roberts. “Merino wool is increasingly present in the world of the younger generations, who care not only about performance but also about durable and environmentally friendly materials.”
The boots retail at a recommended £120.
