The novel production system SAMBA system is based on the Fiber Patch Placement (FPP) technology which enables the fully automated production of complex 3D composite geometries – in a continuous process from virtual design to the fibre preform.
The great interest in the diverse possibilities offered by FPP technology for space, aeronautic, automotive, medical technology and the sporting goods sector was demonstrated by visitors at Composites Europe, where the system was presented in a virtual reality preview last year.
