Brazil hosts German textile machinery conferences

VDMA - German Technology for Brazilian Textiles430 delegates from the Brazilian textiles industry attended the recent Conference on German Technology for Brazilian Textiles in São Paulo and Blumenau, where decision makers as well as technicians were informed with regard to the latest technology trends from Germany.

The twin conferences, organised by Germany’s VDMA Textile Machinery Association and supported by the German Federal Ministry of Economics & Technology, took place in São Paulo on 3 - 4 November and Blumenau on 8 - 9 November.

Technology lectures were given by twenty two well known companies, and covered machinery, accessories and services for spinning, weaving, knitting and hosiery, nonwovens, finishing and textile testing.

Participating companies included, Bruckner Textile Finishing Machinery, Erbatech, Hohenstein Textile Testing Institute, Groz-Beckert, Jakob Müller, Karl Mayer, Lindauer Dornier, Mahlo, Memminger Iro, Monforts, Oeko-Tex, Oerlikon Neumag, Oerlikon Schlafhorst, Pleva, Reseda Binder, Rieter Ingolstadt, Textechno, Then, Trützschler Nonwovens Group - Fleissner, Trützschler Spinning, Welker Spinntech and XETMA Vollenweider.

Commenting on the conferences, Reinaldo A. Rozzatti, President of the Brazilian Association of Textile Technicians (ABTT) said:

“The ABTT congratulates VDMA – Textile Machinery Association for the realization of the Brazilian Editions in São Paulo and Blumenau of the Conference and Exposition Cycles ‘German Technology for the Brazilian Textile Industry’. It has been a great honour for our association to support this event that has brought new technologies to the textile area companies and to the industrial Brazilian public.

The twenty two companies headquartered in the Federal Republic of Germany delighted to present their machines and equipment to the entrepreneurs from the textile chain, here in Brazil, so that they could observe what could be offered in terms of new technologies available, and in doing so they could have more arguments for their purchasing decision looking for renewal of their industrial machines.

At this event the public became aware of new equipment, that are to help the Brazilian industry to be more competitive, serving the market with more adequate products and manufacturing under ecological standards.”

Verena Ruckh, Head of Advertising & Marketing Department, Brückner Textile Finishing Machinery said: "The symposium gave us the chance to present our latest technology to all interested customers and other visitors and to cultivate the relationships in the Brazilian market."
