Composites UK, the trade association for the UK composites industry, has launched the 2015 Industry Awards nomination process allowing UK companies to celebrate their achievements over the last year and showcase their success.
“After receiving a record number of entries last year we’re hoping that this trend continues,” commented Claire Whysall, Communications Manager for Composites UK.
“At past award events we announced the winner beforehand, however this year our judges will be shortlisting the top entries with the winner being announced at the dinner itself.”
Nominations
Nominations are welcome in the following categories:
- Innovation in materials
- Innovation in manufacturing
- Innovation in composites design
- Health and safety award
- Environmental initiative/Sustainability award
- Employer of the year
- Employee of the year
- Trainee/Apprentice of the year
Deadline for nominations is 5pm on 29 May 2015 and is open to both member and non-member companies. A shortlist of entries will be chosen by the judging panel with the overall winner for each category being announced at the black-tie Awards Dinner on 4 November 2015, held at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole on the NEC complex.
Awards Dinner
“Over 100 seats for the 2015 dinner have already been sold as many companies see the value in combining this event with the Advanced Engineering Show taking place on the 4-5 November across at the Birmingham NEC. It’s a way to thank employees for their hard work, clients for their custom, and network with other attendees,” said Claire Whysall.
Sponsorship opportunities are available with Dark Matter Composites, MPM Ltd and the National Composites Centre already supporting the event.
