The demand for lightweight materials, so-called composites with carbon, glass or other reinforcements, is growing rapidly across industries, especially in the automotive sector.
With the objective to expand in this global growth market, Textechno has formed a strategic partnership with Dr Michael Effing and his company AMAC this week. Dr Effing will, with immediate effect, support and advise Textechno with its strategic sales and marketing activities.
Strengthening global business activities
Textechno has been established in the market for more than 60 years and is specialized in the field of testing systems for quality assurance. The company's aim is now to further develop and strengthen its global business activities and strategic position in the area of ”‹”‹advanced materials (glass, carbon and polymer fibre) in the industrial sectors aerospace, automotive, marine, building and construction, energy, electrical / electronics, consumer goods, and sporting goods.
“We are looking forward to working with Dr Effing and to benefit from his longterm industry experience with multinationals such as DuPont, Owens Corning, Johns Manville or DSM. We believe that this cooperation will show good results, especially when collaborating with growing composites markets like Asia or the USA," commented Dr Ulrich Mörschel, CEO of Textechno.
Exciting challenge
The automated quality assurance, as well as standardization, are among the major challenges of the advanced materials sector, the manufacturer reports.
“I am very pleased to support and advise Textechno with the expansion of their global activities in the rapidly growing lightweight sector," commented Dr Effing, CEO of AMAC.
“I am convinced that with its customized and innovative precision testing systems, Textechno will make an outstanding contribution here. It is an exciting challenge and task for me, to support with the introduction of those testing and quality assurance processes in the Advanced Materials sector.“
