Oerlikon Saurer’s Allma Product Line will be showing at this year’s CINTE 2012, Asia's top biannual trade fair for technical textiles and nonwovens, which takes place from 22 to 24 October in Shanghai. The Kempten, Germany based company will welcome customers and interested visitors to its stand to inform them about the latest developments in the production of tire cord and industrial yarns.

Allma TC2 opens new markets for technical yarns

According to Oerlikon Saurer, its new two-for-one twisting machine Allma TC2 is characterized by its unique productivity of up to 450 m/min delivery speed, which it says has not previously been achieved in the market.

The machine concept is said to offer ultimate flexibility in production, material and yarn counts. The Allma TC2 features a completely newly developed spindle concept allowing for individual settings for each individual spindle.

Customers can therefore quickly react to market requirements and even the smallest lots or samples can be economically produced, the company says. Fine and coarse material such as PES, PA, CV, AR, PP and PE can be processed on Allma TC2 in a broad yarn count range, offering customers new yarn constructions and product possibilities.

In addition, the new Allma PrimePac twist packages are said to provide up to 25% higher package density compared to packages wound on other twisting machines. “Customers can count on better unwinding properties, longer lengths for further processing and reduction of work involved in packaging,” Oerlikon Saurer says.

Energy saving Allma CC4

According to the company the award-winning direct cabling machine Allma CC4 is revolutionizing the tire cord cabling market with energy savings of up to 50%. “For manufacturers, these are great cost savings in production. Further advantages of Allma CC4 include up to 50% fewer thread breaks and a considerably reduced noise level,” Oerlikon Saurer says.

“In addition, Allma engineers have now developed an energy-saving retrofit package for the Allma CC3 for existing machines. With an easy to install conversion unit the cabling machines can be set to energy-save modus, thus allowing customers to reduce costs enormously.”

Allma CC3-Combi for ultimate flexibility

According to Oerlikon Saurer, with the Allma CC3-Combi, tire cord, cap ply, chafer or other technical yarns can be cabled or twisted as required. The Allma CC3-Combi is said to uniquely meet the needs of the entire tire cord market with a universal machine. Using combined spindles the machine can be employed not only for cabling but also for two-for-one twisting and can be specially adapted to the production plan and customer requirements.

Changing to the other production process is said to require just a few easy steps and the take-up speed of 120m/min also guarantees maximum productivity for the two-for-one process.
