Toho Tenax Co. Ltd., the core company in the Teijin Group's carbon fibres business operations, has announced that it will participate in the 15th China International Composites Industrial Technical Expo 2009 (China Composites Expo 2009), China's largest trade fair for the composites industry that will be held in Shanghai, from September 2 to September 4. Toho Tenax will partake in the annual exhibition for the 8th time in a row, aiming to support its expansion of carbon fibre business in the fast-growing Chinese market.
Toho Tenax, which set up a subsidiary in Shanghai in January 2003, has been laying the groundwork for the company to develop markets in China.
The Toho Tenax booth at China Composites Expo 2009, A1101 in Shanghai Mart, will feature its PAN-based carbon fibre Tenax and introduce product applications using Tenax composites materials, particularly for industrial applications such as blades in wind-power generators, construction and civil engineering materials and pressure vessels.
