E.dye, the developer of the Waterless and Clean Color System for more sustainable dyeing, with operations in Hong Kong, China and Taiwan, is partnering with ColorDigital, the developer of the DMIx interactive collaboration platform based in Cologne, Germany.

DMIx offers seamless digital interaction between brands and suppliers in the fashion and lifestyle industries, enabling all stakeholders to transform from physical to virtual collection development with real-time digital exchange of designs, using technology that reproduces colours and textures as close to reality as possible.

Offering digital twin technology, human avatars and realtime master data, DMIx enables a collaboration with major design software applications and PLM solutions. Not only does this reduce costs and time in the product development process, it also minimises environmental footprint by controlling lab dipping and bulk production, reducing the vast number of samples and prototypes traditionally used.

E.dye uses spectral colours to ensure its yarns and textiles accurately match the colour specifications with 100% colour reproducibility.

With its zero waste principle and focus on digital product and colour development, it is a perfect partner for DMIx.

The partnership will reinforce digital supply chain efficiency, sustainable digital product development and full product transparency. E.dye will make more than 40,000 smart colours available in its collection to interested DMIx customers.

“DMIx is a fabulous platform provided by ColorDigital for apparel brands, as a sustainable tool to develop their products from colour inspiration to apparel,” says George Yang, founder of e.dye. “It’s a perfect tool for speeding up design and avoiding unnecessary physical samples.”
