The Textile and Fashion Forum Helsinki 2023 will take place at the Little Finlandia event centre in Helsinki, Finland, from October 26-27.

Jointly organised by Finnish Textile and Fashion and Brussels-based industry organisation Euratex, it will showcase the industry’s pioneering companies driving the transformation of the textiles and fashion sector.

Speakers include Tiina Alahuhta-Kasko, president and CEO of Marimekko, Kai Mykkänen, Finland’s Minister of Climate and the Environment, Marcus Hartmann, head of public affairs and sustainability at H&M, Liljana K. Forssten, range strategist at IKEA and by video, European Commissioner Virginijus Sinkevičius.

“ I am thrilled to welcome industry leaders, innovators and decision-makers to Helsinki,” said Marja-Liisa Niinikoski, CEO of Finnish Textile and Fashion. “Our fantastic speakers are at the forefront of sustainable fashion, each bringing unique know-how to drive positive change.”

The forum will focus on critical industry themes, including the creation of different circular business models, digital transition and scaling up new businesses.

“Textiles are essential components of our society and our well-being,” said Dirk Vantyghem, Euratex director general. “It is key for Europe to maintain its capacity to manufacture high-quality, sustainable and high-technology textiles. That’s why we need events like this one, where the whole European value chain can meet and develop a common strategy for the future.”
