Spinning technology leader Rieter reports a significant increase in its order intake for 2024.
Orders secured in 2024 were 34% higher at CHF 725.5 million compared to CHF 541.8 million for 2023, indicating an upturn in the market after a fallow period.
The low orders in 2023 subsequently impacted on Rieter’s turnover in 2024, with unaudited figures showing total sales of CHF 859.1 million for the year – 39% down on the CHF 1,418.6 million achieved in 2023.
In 2024, the Swiss-headquartered company’s Machines and Systems Division posted sales of CHF 424.9 million, a fall of 56% compared to 2023, and sales by its Components Division fell 7% to CHF 247.6 million. After Sales Division 2024 sales were flat at CHF 186.6 million.
