Registration opens for Textile Coating and Laminating Conference

This year’s event will include presentations covering the key economic and technology trends, grouped into five main themes.

The organisers of TCL2017, the International Conference on Textile Coating and Laminating, have announced that discounted early-bird rates are now available for delegates to the event, which will take place in Berlin, Germany, from 8-9 November 2017.

At the same time, the conference programme has been released and this year’s event will include presentations covering the key economic and technology trends, grouped into five main themes: Case studies - commercializing coated and laminated products; Novel applications and markets; The latest machinery developments and their potential for the industry; Cutting-edge technologies creating new opportunities; and Sustainability issues and the evolution of materials to meet these demands.

Speakers come from senior positions in some of the most influential companies in this sector from around the world. The dynamic programme already includes presentations on subjects such as Digitization and Industry 4.0 - Individualization, Quality And Sustainability from keynote speaker Elgar Straub, Managing Director, VDMA, Fachverband Textile Care, Fabric and Leather Technologies; Paradigm shift in textiles finishing through spray application - a sustainable solution to significantly reduce the use of water, chemistry and energy; The latest in dry powder impregnation technology; Sono-coating of textiles (acoustic cavitation) with antibacterial nanoparticles; Solvent-free technology for making polyurethane-coated technical textiles and much more. The event will feature more than 20 papers over two days.
