Forum for discussion
Thermoplastic Composites 2015 is aimed at senior and middle management professionals from plastics companies who produce and use thermoplastic composites.
The seminar aims to provide a forum for discussing the latest in thermoplastic technology and to give attendees an opportunity to network and make contacts within the industry.
Reinforced thermoplastic composites
Compared with traditional metals, plastics and thermoset composites, fibre reinforced thermoplastic composite materials have a lower moisture uptake, good toughness and damage resistance, they are lighter, stiffer, more sustainable, and can be produced in high volumes.
Due to their technical properties, they are ideal for applications for which toughness is of critical importance, high volume production is involved, and scrap recycling is an important issue. These primarily include aerospace engineering and transport.
Composites UK
Composites UK is the official trade association for the UK composites industry. The association acts to encourage continuous growth and development of the industry, promoting the best-practice use of composites materials.
Its role is to bring companies throughout the supply chain together creating partnerships, as-well-as creating a unified voice to drive the industry forward, benefiting all of those involved.
