As the world turns its attention to France for the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, JEC World will stage a day dedicated to sports and composites on March 7^th at the Paris-Nord Villepinte.

A series of presentations will examine in detail how composites are redefining performance standards in 18 Olympic and Paralympic summer sports and have become ubiquitous from archery to sailing, by offering lightness, resilience and performance.

Developed with Global Sports Week Paris, France’s leading international forum for the sports ecosystem, the JEC Sports Summit will showcase concrete examples of innovations that increase levels of competition in each discipline, with a focus on material properties and end-use applications.

There will also be an examination of how the sports industry has become a laboratory for composites innovation, rapidly introducing new materials and processes that other sectors can only adopt after long industrial certification and implementation processes.

To offer visitors a complete experience, the Discover Composites area – an immersive exhibition tracing the evolution of composites in sports – has been created at the entrance of Hall 6 in the Paris-Nord Villepinte exhibition centre.
