AUTEFA Solutions, an international machine manufacturing group, will be showcasing at the Composites Europe trade fair that will be held at Messe Stuttgart from 17-19 September.

Dr Stefan Schlichter, CEO commented: “We develop solutions for automation and manufacture excellent machines and lines for the production of nonwovens. The combination of our experience in both business segments enables us to offer three quite different solutions. We are looking forward to present these concepts to interested visitors during Composites Europe.”

Solutions for automation

With five locations in Germany, Italy, Austria, USA and China, AUTEFA Solutions delivers machines and complete lines for precursor production, carbon fibre production, carbon fibre recycling and for further processing to nonwoven products.

For precursor production AUTEFA Solutions offers layering devices and solutions for automation. For carbon fibre production the group provides solutions for the automation of bobbin handling. The concept includes palletizing and transport to automatic creeling at the further processing machines.

Carbon fibre recycling

The large field of carbon fibre recycling and the further processing to nonwoven products includes:

  • Waste Recycling of dry and hardened composite waste
  • Fibre separation and fibre opening: with modified tearing machines and hammermills
  • Web formation: product lines with different web forming machines regarding different requirements on fibre orientation, fibre opening and web weight
  • Web bonding: Besides mechanical bonding with modified needle looms also thermal bonding processes or a direct feed to coating- or lamination plants can be realized.

Beside carbon fibres and carbon composites other raw material like glass, aramid and natural fibres such as hemp, flax, ramie, coconut fibre and jute could be applied.
