The company will exhibit its C-GRID carbon grids at the show for the first time, at the booth of its partner and exclusive distributor B&R Building Materials. The show is the leading platform for the construction community to share, source and learn about the most innovative solutions for the concrete industry.
The innovative reinforcement is made by bonding ultra high-strength carbon tow with epoxy resin. It is said to enable precast constructions to be thinner, lighter, more durable and less costly overall than conventional precast and other building systems.
Greener concrete building solutions
C-GRID carbon fibre grid offers a unique solution for the concrete builder, according to the manufacturer.“For architectural cladding or insulated wall panels, precast concrete is improved by integrating ultra-strong, noncorrosive C-GRID into the wall panel during fabrication. Taking the place of steel reinforcement, C-GRID is a real enabling technology, providing better factory-made precast concrete elements,” explained John Leatham, Sales and Marketing Director, Chomarat North America.
With the properties of C-Grid, thin walls are said to be greener, lighter and stronger, because non-corrosive carbon fibres require less protective concrete, more durable, as C-GRID is said to offer an efficient crack control, and also versatile, due to the design options available.
