Sioen Industries NV, a leading producer of technical textiles, fine chemicals and high-tech protective clothing, has announced two acquisitions.
The company has acquired Dynatex, a specialist in multi-axial aramid reinforcement fabrics, and Le Comptoir Zouloo, the French producer of colour pigments. By closing the deals, the company expects to gain more influence in France and strengthen its position in technical textiles market.
Dynatex
Dynatex is a young innovative company, founded in 2003, specialized in multi-axial aramid reinforcement fabrics. Today, these fabrics are mainly used for trailer construction, where they contribute to the structural integrity of the trailers and also protect against vandalism and theft, due to their strength.
By acquiring this company, Sioen emphasizes its goal of technical leadership in the market of technical textiles.
After the acquisition by Sioen Group, Christophe Callens, founder of Dynatex and the actual Managing Director of the company, will become responsible for the further development of products for the transportation market and for the introduction of these solutions in other markets of technical textiles.
Le Comptoir Zouloo
Le Comptoir Zouloo is a small French company, specialized in the production and sale of colour pigments. Comparable to Richard Colorants, a subsidiary of Sioen Chemicals, Le Comptoir Zouloo focuses on the production and distribution of colour pigments through the Do It Yourself market.
Sioen Industries believes that the company’s strategy and market position makes it a perfect addition to the group, helping to strengthen its market position in France.
Sioen Industries
Sioen Industries has an extensive portfolio of products and activities, which include spinning, weaving and coating, manufacturing of garments, production of fine chemicals and processing of technical textiles.
Sioen believes that vertical and horizontal integration, diversification and permanent growth provide the company with a major technical advantage and better R&D.
The company’s main focuses are on customised products, high end, specialised products, recyclable/recycled products, integrated features, and intelligent textiles.
