Cordura fabrics named ISPO Textrends Forum winners

Ten winning outer layer and second layer Cordura fabrics include Cordura Naturalle, AFT, Denim, Lite, Ultralite, Canvas and Combat Wool innovations.

Invista’s Cordura brand fabrics have become the winners at the ISPO Textrends Forum, being recognised as the most innovative products for 2016/2017.

Ten winning outer layer and second layer Cordura fabrics include Cordura Naturalle, AFT, Denim, Lite, Ultralite, Canvas and Combat Wool fabric innovations.

ISPO Textrends Forum

The ISPO Textrends Forum is similar to an awards contest. Participants apply with their top products and a jury of journalists, designers and independent experts review and choose the best entries.

Top entries benefit from multiple sales and promotional services designed to simplify the search for new and innovative materials for designers and product managers.

The materials will be showcased at ISPO Textrends Forum from 28-31 January 2015 at ISPO Beijing and from 5-8 February 2015 at ISPO Munich. Additionally, the selection will be published printed and digitally in the Trendbook and Trendapp.

Cordura brand winning fabrics

Cordura Brand fabric winners include the following innovations:

KR51 Huamao (Xiamen) Cordura Ultralite ripstop fabric, the ultra lightweight water-repellent ripstop construction with excellent tear resistance, has been recognised in the Top 10 Product Outer Layer category.

In Selected Products Soft Equipment category the jury voted for a US 315D Bobble DaeHyun Cordura Lite fabric, textured weave fabric for lightweight, durable performance with enhanced tear and abrasion resistance; a 1022G – LEEJO Cordura Canvas fabric with classic vintage look; a COR2020 Tiong Liong Cordura AFT breathable, rugged mesh fabric; and a COR1002 - Tiong Liong Cordura AFT fabric with enhanced abrasion and tear resistance.

Selected Products Second Layer included an AM 1110-B Artistic Milliners Cordura Denim fabric with thermoregulation capability and stretch functionality; and a DT104022 Chang Ho Cordura Combat Wool fabric, a mid-layer durable, soft, drapable nylon, Merino wool blend knit.

Selected Products Outer Layer category included a CNQ698-310 Chia Her Cordura Naturalle fabric with soft handle and excellent tear resistance for sports apparel; a CNQ251-010 Chia Her Cordura Naturalle stain- and water-repellent rugged 4-way stretch fabric; and a Y722053 New Wide Cordura Naturalle versatile twill style knit with excellent stretch recovery.
