At the forthcoming Techtextil in Frankfurt from June 21-24, 2022 in Frankfurt, Germany, C.F. Weber, a long-standing authorised mill partner of the Cordura brand based in Leutersdorf, Germany, will present the first fabric samples made made from re/cor recycled nylon 6.6.

Initially, the new fabric will be launched in black and in three different weave types.

In terms of quantifiable benefits compared to virgin nylon 6.6, the production of Cordura re/cor RN66 produces 83% fewer greenhouse gas emissions, consumes 82% less energy, and uses 57% less water. It is made from 100% pre-consumer fibre material that is 100% GRS (Global Recycled Standard) certified.

“Until now there was no yarn, certainly not a nylon, that met the high demands for performance and sustainability, especially in workwear,” said C.F. Weber managing director Stefan Friedrich.

“We are very pleased to bring this exciting new technology with C.F. Weber to market just a few months after launching re/cor,” added Malayka Erpen, Cordura business development director EMEA. “These first fabrics are proof that we have succeeded in developing an innovation that our customers and partners have been asking for.”

C.F. Weber can be found in Hall 11.1, stand C46 at Techtextil, and Cordura in Hall 9.1, stand C70.
