Accordingly, Cytec will be exhibiting at the Composites Engineering Show 2012, which takes place in the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham, UK on the 7 and 8 November.
Its products, which include prepregs and fully compatible vacuum bagging systems and consumables, are used in the automotive, aerospace, defence, wind energy, recreation, and marine industries operating around the world.
At the Composites Engineering Show 2012, Cytec will be exhibiting:
- A staggered sandwich panel demonstrating how its Structural & Process materials’ products work harmoniously in the production of large Out-of-Autoclave (OoA) structures
- A prosthetic leg manufactured by Chas A. Blatchford & Sons Ltd., which uses a combination of Cytec’s MTM 28 woven carbon fibre prepregs and MTM28-1 unidirectional E-glass and carbon prepregs. These prepregs were chosen because they are said to offer high toughness and fast, flexible temperature, press moulding capability
- The company will also have a selection of ancillary process material products, including vacuum bagging consumables, infusion materials and reusable vacuum systems, and a reusable vacuum bag cure bag for rocket motor mould
- A selection of automotive components depicting the application of its structural and cosmetic prepregs
Cytec’s representatives will be available to discuss a range of hand-held exhibits, as well as visitors’ immediate and future requirements.
