Archroma, a leader in colour and specialty chemicals, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ethical Affair, a knowledge based platform striving to provide training, skills development and technical assistance to women entrepreneurs in the textile industry. The MoU was signed at a ceremony held in Karachi in the presence of both organisations, the company reports.

Archroma will play a pivotal role in providing technical know-how, training and re-training through active platform of Ethical Affair. Women Entrepreneurs will be provided a tool kit in areas, such as technical know-how pertaining to textiles from initial to final stage, international textile market features, sustainability development, or understanding cost and value creation for local and foreign markets.

“Empowering women entrepreneurs to enter into the mainstream will certainly add value coupled with creativity for the textile industry. Women are already taking initiatives in establishing their own businesses especially in the last five years. What they presently ask for is technical training and hands on experience,” commented Mujtaba Rahim, CEO of Archroma Pakistan.

“At Archroma Center of Excellence in Karachi, women will be able to learn to apply textile dyes and chemicals suited for their purpose. Their innovation can turn into success stories beyond expectation,” said Shaheen Khan, President of Ethical Affair.
