Huntsman Textile Effects has announced the appointment of Mr. Kent E. Kvaal as the new Vice President of its Business Specialty Textiles Unit.
"Kent E. Kvaal is based at the Textile Effects headquarters in Singapore, and as Global Vice President of Specialty Textiles, he will continue to drive this important business unit internationally," a company spokesperson said.
"Specialty Textiles is dedicated to providing comprehensive solutions to a demanding set of markets including specialized synthetics, automotive, woven functional fabrics, carpet, wool and nonwovens."
Prior to the appointment, Mr. Kvaal has successfully filled a number of senior positions at Huntsman Textile Effects, first as Vice President/General Manger for Textile Effects in the Americas and then as Vice President, Textile Effects Global Supply Chain based in Basel, Switzerland.
Mr. Kvaal has progressed through series of financial, operations, sales and market, and general management roles with companies such as H.B. Fuller, Rayonier and Kimberly-Clark.
Born in the US, Mr. Kent graduated from the University of Minnesota: Curtis L. Carlson School of Management with a B.S. in Business (with high distinction) and an MBA (with honours) in Operations and Marketing. Through Kent's career he has gained great geographic experience, having been based in Singapore, Switzerland and numerous states in the U.S.
