Invista’s apparel customer service facility for North America has moved to its Applied Research Centre in Newark, Del., now offering brand standards testing, customer-inquiry analysis and in-process management, in addition to its existing research and development programs.
“Guided by Invista’s strong focus on innovation, we have used this research facility in the past to explore new ideas for fibre and fabric applications,” said Robert Dzielak, North America Sales Director for Invista Apparel. “With the addition of these expanded services, we not only continue our R&D efforts, but also provide added value with brand standards testing and direct customer service.”
The research facility’s capabilities include testing services to approve fibres and fabrics under trademarks including the full range of Lycra fibre and fabrics, as well as Tactel fibre, Coolmax fabric and Supplex fabric. This brand testing function, previously performed in Charlotte, N.C., is now consolidated at the Newark facility, which also provides fabric production, dyeing and finishing capabilities.
Invista operates similar technical facilities in Brazil, Singapore, China and Northern Ireland.
