The Spanish specialist for sustainable technologies for garment finishing Jeanologia will present its solutions that reduce the time-to-market at the upcoming Denim Première Vision Paris that takes place this week. The company will also discuss the necessary transformation of the jeans industry towards the efficiency and sustainability.

The Spanish firm is a leader in the development of sustainable technologies for finishing garments and its solutions based on laser, ozone and nano-bubbles are able to increase productivity, reduce the time to market and reduce production costs.

"At Jeanologia, we've been researching for over 20 years on how to transform the jeans industry. Jeans is the second best-selling garment in the world after the T-shirt and its production is enormously polluting and manual,” said Enrique Silla, CEO of Jeanologia. “Our objective as a technological partner is to transform this industry, to make jeans sustainable.”

Novel developments

At the Denim Première Vision Paris fair, Jeanologia comes with novel developments that are designed to help achieve the detoxification of the denim industry with the elimination of the dangerous potassium permanganate, thanks to the Light PP Spray, a laser solution for localised denim wear. The company will also show the process One Glass, one Garment, which is said to manage to finish garments with 95% savings in water, 90% in chemicals and 40% in energy.

The company will also be introducing visitors to its standard tools for the denim industry, such as the Light Sensitive Fabric Test, the study that allows you to know in advance which are the best fabrics for sustainable technologies, and EIM software, which measures environmental impact of the jeans finishing processes.

Digital Washing Revolution

At the exhibition, Jeanologia launches the Quantum space, the digital designer denim simulator that will take visitors to “a new dimension in jeans washing”. It is designed as an inspirational exhibition that shows how we have moved from a manual and analogue industry to the digital age revolution.

“This new tool is accurate to the digital revolution for finishing, where creativity, efficiency and time-to-market are the main components,” the company reports. Carmen Silla, Marketing Manager of Jeanologia, epxlained: "Digital Wash Box puts the designer back in the centre of the development process, which will allow us to live a new cycle of creativity in the world of Jeans Wear.”
