Record numbers
The show is ready to welcome more exhibitors than ever before, as 108 companies are presenting their functional fabrics and accessories for Winter 2015/16 and the first highlights for Summer 2016.
Some of the biggest names in the world of functional fabrics are on site in Munich, including Amaterrace (JP), Bluesign (CH), Concept III (UK), Designer Textiles (NZ), Dyntex (AU), Everest (TW), Fair Wear Foundation (NE), FOV (SW), IDEAS (DE), Kingwhale (TW), Long Advance (TW), Loxy (NO), Lycra (CH), Pertex (JP), Pontetorto (IT), PrimaLoft (DE), Schoeller (CH), Shanghai Challenge (CN), Sofileta (FR), Solis (TW), Suedwolle (DE), Sympatex (DE), Thygesen & Birk (DK), YKK (DE).
The distribution is truly international with exhibitors representing 17 countries from around the world. 54.9% of the companies have their headquarters in Europe and other western countries (12 countries), 45.1% come from Asia (5 countries).
The service highlights
The trade show provides several useful tools to help visitors find a suitable business partner or the appropriate material required for the functional range from the large selection of high quality exhibits.
The Exhibitors List on the trade show website www.PerformanceDays.eu lets you choose among the company offers on the basis of multiple criteria.
As a special service, you can schedule an appointment with the exhibitor at the trade show directly from this page. Using the Product Library fabric database, you can search for the required fabric category as well as for other criteria.
The trend study
One of the absolute highlights of the trade show is again the Performance Forum, where every season's new fabrics are presented by category. Every fabric is labelled with a QR code to provide all of the important information.
For Winter 2015/16, there appears to be a tendency towards calm, natural colours, especially, in the outer- and mid-layers. Colourless tones like natural, beige, brown and gray, often seen in combination, determine the look of the functional clothing for outdoors and skiing, as well as for sportswear. Casual and sportswear are the key engines, while urban styles set the tone.
Another strong tendency is observed in the orientation towards the subjects of wellness and yoga. Very soft, light, and highly elastic mid- and base layers combine natural fibres like merino, silk, and lyocell with functional fibres to provide a natural feel on the skin.
