SETEX, the leading specialist in automation solutions for textile dyeing and finishing machines, has released the Version 3 of its CamCOUNT system for contact-free process control of stitch count for knitted and weave fabric.
The new technology, utilising the modern camera devices is said to render radiation safety instructions obsolete. The CamCOUNT V3 fabric measurement directly on the machine rollers also makes measurement plates obsolete, avoids friction and allows numerous positions to mount the system – even on relatively small areas along the fabric run, the manufacturer reports.
CamCOUNT
Smart software algorithms to analyse fabric density and evaluate parameters for process control of shrinkage and overfeed are said to add value on different machines, such as sanforizing or compactors. The use on tenter frames provides additional information on skew distortion, the company reports.
In addition to the improved fabric quality and better colour and pattern uniformity on printed fabrics, the system is designed to reduce variations of over- and underweight fabrics and eliminate punch weight measurements.
FabricINSPECTOR
The unique measurement method, which provides precise results on machine halt or up to full speed, allows to use the same technique on the laboratory system FabricINSPECTOR V3, the company reports.
