Santex Rimar AG will showcase its latest finishing technologies for the treatment of tubular and open-width knitted fabrics at the forthcoming ITMA 2023 in Milan in June, at Hall18, stand A110.
The Santaframe stenter frame in combination with the Santacompact RDA felt belt compacting machine are relied on by fabric suppliers to many of the world’s major fashion houses for maximising performance with low energy consumption to achieve low residual shrinkage, smoother handle and a silk-like appearance. The lines are equipped with various energy saving options.
Speaking at the recent pre-ITMA press event organised by industry association Swiss Textile Machinery in Bern, Santex senior director of global sales Natascha Meier said that the performance of the Santaframe is being continuously developed based on the latest advances in thermodynamics, aligned to the changing needs of customers.
“Its heating system is located above the fabric web in the upper part of the two-metre-wide treatment zone,” she explained. “An air circulation fan draws the air from the nozzles and the treatment zone through the filter panels and guides it along a short path to the heat exchanger, from where it is fed into the nozzles.”
The arrangement of the heat source on the pressure side of the air circulation fan enables a high air circulation speed and uniform heat distribution over the entire fabric width, resulting in high energy savings and cost reductions in both the drying and heat-setting processes.
