Sioen Industries elects Michel Delbaere as chairman to board of directors
Mr Michel Delbaere succeeds Mr Luc Vansteenkiste, who has chosen to resign.

Mr. Michel Delbaere holds a degree in law (KU Leuven) and a degree in economics (UCL). He started his career at the Morgan Guaranty Trust Company of New York (J.P. Morgan) from 1975 to 1978. In 1978 he founded the food company Crop’s NV in Ooigem (West Flanders).
Career
Besides his activities as CEO at Crop’s Group, Mr. Delbaere was active as chairman of VOKA (2012-2015). Today he holds several mandates. Since 1995, ha has been on board of directors of FEVIA (Belgian federation food industry).
Starting in 2002, he has also been on the management committee of the VBO (FEB). He is also on the board of directors of the VPK, Sioen Industries, VOKA SD, WorxDelcredere, Exmar, Montea and Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel. Since 2011 he is also an independent director of Bank Delen.
