Sustainability theme for DyStar at ITMA 2011

ITMA 2011 Barcelona was a successful and rewarding event for DyStar, which shared its sustainable textile processing knowledge, products and solutions with its guests and visitors as well as attendees of the Sustainable Textile Leadership Roundtable (STLR) and Textile Dyestuff & Chemical Leaders Forum (TDCL).

Representing DyStar as one of the panellists at the STLR, John Easton, Ecology Solutions Manager, commented:

"I think the one big idea that come out of the discussion was that in order to move towards sustainability we need greater co-operation along the supply chain, from the brands & retailers right the way back to the fibre suppliers, chemical suppliers and the machinery suppliers."

DyStar offers customers a complete range of colourants, auxiliaries, as well as state of the art colour communication and textile testing. The company exhibited its latest innovations in dyes and auxiliaries as well as new technologies designed to help reduce the overall environmental impact of the textile supply chain.

It also showcased innovative products for the emerging technology of digital printing, advanced process developments such as the Sera Eco Wash process, and complete solutions for specific application segments such as workwear, sportswear, automotive and Denim.

DyStar also launched its new Lava Dye Coloured Denim concept as well as showcasing some of its business collaborations with machinery and fabric partners. DyStar says its uniquely located booth encouraged focused and quality interactions between DyStar and its guests and visitors.

"Having a different approach than other chemical suppliers was strategically positive for us," said Eric Hopmann, President Europe. "Those who visited our booth have expressed that ours was well-attended, and that the experience with us was most interesting and helpful."
