EDANA’s INDEX17 Awards are the highest accolade for the best examples of excellence in the industry, highlighting creativity and innovations from businesses of all sizes, and from all parts of the nonwovens supply chain, EDANA reports.

INDEX17 Awards

The INDEX17 awards jury, comprised of a former senior nonwovens entrepreneur and manager, a representative of the nonwovens industry trade press, an international independent consultant and two top academic nonwovens R&D experts, met in January to select the nominees, if any, in each of the eight Awards categories, and to choose, from this group, the winner, which will remain undisclosed until the Awards Ceremony.

Companies could submit only one product or process application per category, and products must have been commercially available as from 31 January 2017. Additionally, products or campaigns must not have been commercially launched before April 2014.

In view of the number of eligible applications, the task of the jury has been particularly long, and, keeping up with the highly demanding selection criteria, it has decided to nominate candidates in only 6 of the 8 Awards categories.

INDEX Awards Ceremony

The winners will be presented with their specially commissioned bronze sculpture and a diploma at the Awards Ceremony which will take place on the first day of INDEX17, Tuesday, 4th April at 10.00 am, which will be attended by the media, and is open to all exhibitors and visitors to the show.

Designed by world-famous Belgian sculptor, Olivier Strebelle, the stunning work of art is both beautiful and representative of the diversity of EDANA’s members and their products.

Olivier Strebelle, born in 1927, had already gained an enviable reputation by the age of 20 and today his sculptures are displayed in major cities in Europe, in the United States and Asia.
