Carvico and Jersey Lomellina, the manufacturers of warp knit and circular knit fabrics for high performance applications, are presenting their View Premium Selection, a collection of performance fashion fabrics for the Autumn/Winter 19-20 season, designed for creating unique, bold, high performance clothing.
“Techno-features, comfort and a natural feeling are the inspiration behind the new collection, which is focused on the concepts of free-time and strong passions, trends, exclusivity and design, with a curious approach to society and our future,” the company explains.
“Details, processes and treatments, quality and technical features, which are typical of sportswear, transfer to these fabrics conceived for the creation of everyday, versatile, comfortable, wonderful garments, to be worn all day long, both at work or at glamorous dinners.”
Fabrics by Carvico and Jersey Lomellina are suitable for the production of lightweight, fast drying, no-iron garments – versatile and adaptable to be suitable for different events and looks, sporty or glam, casual or posh. The collection boasts the presence of both smooth and rough, metallic and velvety, matt and glossy surfaces, and soft or more technical hand feels; they have been designed to suit any kind of performance and application.
The collection has been developed to represent the real must have colours for 2020 fashion collections. These include light and soft, almost neutral shades: nude, dove grey, blush pink, fawn, sand, pink, gold. “Such nuances ensure maximum yield with the minimum effort, and they can make all outfits look sophisticated and bon ton,” the company says.
In outwear, technical details are no longer hidden; on the contrary, they are exhibited and shown off. Garments are expected to blend comfort and performance, breathability, resistance, durability, a perfect fit, lightweight and style.
Womenswear bottoms, both leggings and wide-leg trousers, are expected to enhance the silhouette without constraints. Fabrics hand feel must be soft and comfortable, natural in their look but high performance and extremely versatile.
Menswear bottoms are dominated by comfort, which is the key word, together with impeccable lines. Performance trousers adopt the style of trendy pants in a perfect mix of techno-features and elegance, which makes them ideal for the most diverse situations.
The collection also celebrates the shirt revolution. “Shirts are the items which, more than anything else, were in need for a facelift,” the company explains. “In PE 2020 fashion collections garments are perfectly fitting, stylish, no iron, soft and odour proof. And fabrics by Carvico and Jersey Lomellina boast all such features and make the very concept of shirts evolve without, anyway, changing the basics of a fundamental item.”
Carvico, a warp knitted fabrics specialist, was established in 1962 by Giuseppe Colnaghi. In 1977, he set up another company, Jersey Lomellina, specialising in the production of stretch circular knitted fabrics for underwear, swimwear and leisurewear.
After having started to successfully export the Italian style globally, in 2001 Carvico and Jersey Lomellina accessed the Asian market by setting Carvico Hong Kong and, later on, in 2002, Carvico (Shanghai) Trading. Since 2011 Carvico and Jersey Lomellina have also established two more overseas offices, one in New York and one in Los Angeles, along with two logistic hubs, on in Hong Kong and one in Brisbane.
