At the forthcoming Performance Days trade fair in Munich from October 23-24, membrane manufacturer Sympatex will highlight its expanding fibre-to-fibre portfolio with an emphasis on mono-materials.
Vitoria Spring AS is high-performance three-layer laminate crafted from chemically recycled textile-to-textile fibres for outdoor activities such as hiking, skiing and snowboarding and features a structured, stretchy ripstop surface and a soft jersey backing.
Other new three-layer laminates include Toulouse Ice EU, made with chemically recycled stretch PES yarns and designed for high breathability and waterproofness, and Kunming Spring AS, made from Cordura-certified polyester, and suitable for heavy-duty outdoor garments.
Seon AS is a high-performance two-layer laminate composed of chemically recycled ultra-stretch T8 polyester yarns providing breathable and waterproof properties.
For the footwear sector, Sympatex moisture-tech is engineered to provide rapid sweat absorption and quick drying performance, significantly reducing heat inside shows by as much as 45%. The technology minimises blister formation while enhancing wearer comfort.
The company’s nonwoven laminates meanwhile eliminate the need for polyurethane foam, achieving a 10% reduction in CO2 emissions and a 15% decrease in water consumption.
Additionally, Sympatex will introduce its new Digital Fabric Library in Munich, demonstrating its sustainable textile sourcing.
