In light of the current situation and expected short-term developments, abe - advanced business events, has decided to postpone the 2020 edition of the CITEXT technical textiles and soft functional materials event, which was initially scheduled for 1-2 April. The event will now take place from 23-24 September 2020. The recent spread of the Coronavirus forced the CITEXT organization team to reassess the situation.

“The latest developments in regard to Coronavirus have greatly increased the concerns of participating companies regarding the health of their employees. In addition, travel restrictions on the part of the authorities, but also at companies level, both for exhibiting companies and for Contractors, have drastically reduced potential participation in the event,” the organisation said in a statement.

“abe places the health and safety of its exhibitors, buyers, partners and employees at the heart of its priorities.”

“This difficult decision is based on our conviction that today, conditions are no longer met for this event to take place in all serenity and tranquillity. Therefore, we are convinced that the possibility of maintaining the high-quality level to which we are strongly attached and used to is now clearly called into question.”

“We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and hope that you understand our position.”

“As usual, we remain at your disposal to answer all your questions and we thank you for your confidence and your support during this complicated period.”

“We are looking forward to seeing you all on September 23 and 24, 2020 for an edition that we hope will be extraordinary,” the company concluded.
