For the first time the Cellulose Fibre Innovation of the Year innovation award will be presented at the 2nd International Conference on Cellulose Fibres, which will be held from 2–3 February 2021, in Cologne, Germany. The conference will be held as hybrid event - a physical meeting in which an online audience also participates.

The innovation award will be granted to the innovative cellulose fibre industry for the development of new technologies and applications. All producers and inventors along the entire value chain from feedstock to the final product are invited to join the competition. The award is given by nova-Institute. Deadline for submission is 30 November 2020.

© nova-institute.The innovation award will be carried out within the framework of the “2nd International Conference on Cellulose Fibres” (www.cellulose-fibres.eu ). The Cellulose Fibres Conference is a meeting point for companies working in the field of lignocellulosic feedstock, cellulose fibres – such as rayon, viscose, modal or lyocell – and new applications and developments – woven textiles (clothing) and nonwovens (wipes and technical applications). All these sectors have gained significant momentum over the last few years, the organisers say. The conference will bridge the gap between online participants and attendants at the location in Cologne with live networking tools, debate panels and interactive session formats allowing experts to exchange views and establish new connections, nova-Institute adds.

Among the applicants, six candidates will be nominated for the innovation award by an independent expert jury. Their application documents will be made available for download at the conference website to provide the audience and other interested parties a first glimpse of these innovations. The nominees will then get the opportunity to hold a ten-minute presentation at the conference or online. After the presentations, the participants of the conference will elect the final winners of the innovation award.

Applying for the award is free of charge and each nominated Top 6 candidate will receive one free 2-day ticket to attend the conference. This is a unique opportunity to promote your innovations and products, nova-Institute says. More information about the innovation award and online application form are available at www.cellulose-fibres.eu/award-application.
