With fashion product designers requiring much more design freedom, PrimaLoft has diversified its product range, offering fashion brands the PrimaLoft Collection insulation series and fabrics. Recently the PrimaLoft development team reached a milestone by creating three insulations made entirely from 100% post-consumer recycled (PCR) content, that fully meet all PrimaLoft performance standards.
Another success is PrimaLoft Insulation ThermoPlume: Small, silky plumes of fibre, which work in conjunction to mimic the lightweight warmth, softness and compressibility of natural goose down, with the added benefit of wet weather protection and compressibility. More than 60 brands, such as Bogner, G-Star RAW, New Balance, Scotch & Soda, Tommy Hilfiger and more, will use the innovative synthetic down alternative in their collections.
PrimaLoft also offers an enhanced collection of Performance Fabric technologies. These high performing fabrics are said to have fast dry times, enhanced breathability, a superior hand-feel and softness, with many products boasting bluesign and Oeko-Tex certification, according to the manufacturer.
“The sports and fashion industries continue to blend together and have mutually enriched each other over the past few years. Fashion brands increasingly rely on technical functionality, while sportswear manufacturers are more likely to integrate lifestyle design into their collections,” said Jochen Lagemann, PrimaLoft Managing Director Europe & Asia.
“PrimaLoft stands for comfort solutions – no matter where you are, no matter what you do, we provide feel-good performance for all our customers. What works well in sports and outdoor is also suitable for many other areas as many consumers now expect a versatile mix of functionality and fashion.”
