Meet the Manufacturer, the major conference and sourcing event specifically for British manufacturers of clothing, textiles and leather goods, has announced Segura as the headline sponsor for this year’s event in May.

Segura’s innovative software enables businesses to understand, monitor and control their supply chains, allowing them to make cost savings and mitigate risk. The company works with customers across a range of industries, including textile manufacturing and retail.

Ever-growing enthusiasm

“We’re delighted to be working in partnership with Segura for our next event.  Their innovative and transparent approach to supply-chain issues makes them the perfect partner for Meet the Manufacturer, which is the platform for leading industry figures to come together to support UK manufacturing, commented Kate Hills, CEO and founder of Make it British.

“This comes at a time when there’s an ever-growing enthusiasm and passion for reinstating Britain as the world centre for fashion and textile production and we look forward to working together.”

Meet the Manufacturer is going from strength to strength, according to organisers. Now in its third year, the event takes place from 25-26 May 2016 at The Old Truman Brewery, London. The event promises to be bigger and better than ever before, with double the amount of space at 50,000 sq ft, compared to last year, to accommodate more stands in the exhibition and more workshops and seminars than in previous years.

Headline sponsor

“We’re very proud to be the headline sponsor of Meet the Manufacturer. British brands are more aware than ever of the value of manufacturing in the UK and this event represents a key date in the retail calendar,” said Peter Needle, CEO and co-founder of Segura.

“Supply chain integrity is important to any retail operation, so we’re working with UK businesses to help them gain the insight they need to see where each and every one of their product components is coming from. The aims of Meet the Manufacturer complement Segura perfectly, so we were keen to get involved.”

Meet the Manufacturer

Kate Hills, founder and CEO of Make it British, set up the Make it British website to help promote UK manufacturing and British-made brands. Now in its sixth year, the website has gone from strength to strength and Kate has appeared regularly on television and radio espousing her firm belief that manufacturing in the UK is thriving, cost-effective and sustainable.

Kate Hills also launched Meet the Manufacturer, a trade show and conference for the UK fashion and textiles industry, in 2014. The event brings together the best of British manufacturers with buyers and designers looking to have their products made in Britain.
