The 50^th edition of the show took place from 10-13 June in Chicago, IL, welcoming 500 leading companies, exhibiting thousands of new products and services, complemented by an educational programme.

Sileather silicone fabrics are part of the Healthier Hospitals Initiative Safer Chemicals programme. Healthier Hospitals Initiative (HHI) promotes healthier and safer hospital environments across the US. The programme looks at furniture and upholstery to ensure that harmful chemicals are not being used. These include no PVC elements, formaldehyde, PFCs, anti-microbial agents, or flame retardants.

“Since Sileather is produced with 100% silicone and an advanced solvent free production technique, all of our fabrics contain none of these elements,” explained Mei. “Our construction, plus the fact that our fabrics contain ultra-low VOCs, makes it an incredibly healthy and safe material, especially in hospitals and healthcare settings.”

The company’s fabrics do not contain PVC or PU elements, no formaldehyde, phthalates, plasticizers, heavy metals, PFCs, stabilisers or bisphenol A (BPA). They are also recyclable, do not release or emit any toxic by-products and are made using an advanced solvent-free production technology, according to the manufacturer.
