SSM Schärer Schweiter Mettler will be taking part in the forthcoming ShanghaiTex exhibition that takes place from 15-18 June in Shanghai, China, showcasing the well-established SSM TW2-series.
The Swiss based inventor of the electronic yarn traverse system will continue its tradition of trend-setting with the presentation of the company’s latest technologies and solutions. SSM’s competencies lie in the handling of the yarn during winding and yarn processing.
Machines for the following applications will be on display:
- Dye packages / rewinding
- Assembly winder
SSM TW2plus-W
The SSM TW2plus-W is a precision package winder for dye packages and rewinding operations. The electronic fastflex yarn laying technology is said to allow a high flexibility to produce a made-to-measure cross wound package.
SSM TW2-D
Combined with the easy adaptation to a variety of yarns, the TW2-D is the winding system that is said to offer innovative solutions, rugged technology and simple use.
With the electronic yarn laying technology preciflex, a high flexibility is given to produce a made-to-measure cross wound package, the company reports. The ergonomic design and enduring technology is said to cut maintenance and service expenses down to a minimum. Thereby the TW2-D creates a new dimension for cost effective winding, the company believes.
SSM AG
The Schärer, Schweiter and Mettler companies merged in 1989 to become SSM. In 1999, Stähle-Eltex and SSM merged to develop air texturing technology and to strengthen their leadership position in the marketplace.
Besides of the presented applications SSM does provide machines for air covering, air texturing, false twist texturing (from SSM GIUDICI), draw winding, sewing thread finish winding, yarn singeing and conventional covering.
