German finishing machinery specialist Brueckner has established a new Environmental and Energy Technology department.

With core competences in coating, drying and heat-setting technologies established over the past 75 years, reducing emissions and the consumption of resources, as well as the use of different heating media, have been central to the development of the family-owned company’s research and development work.

The new Brueckner Environmental and Energy Technology department will be headed by Andreas Troscheit, who for the past three years has led the company’s technology centre in Leonberg, providing customers with extensive technical application advice. He will be joined in the new department by Tobias Keitel who specialises in the distribution and design of the heating systems and David Knies, an expert in software and control, including the latest Brueckner ExperTex simulation tool.

ExperTex is available for all new machines and enables customers to increase their production output and reduce energy consumption. It can also be retrofitted to older lines, depending on their year of manufacture.

Brueckner’s environmental and energy technology is extensive, with the various units for heat-recovery and exhaust air purification available individually or in fully integrated systems. Thanks to their modular design, these systems can be adapted to any customer requirement and depending on the process, the individual units can be flexibly switched on or off.

Newly developed automatic cleaning systems ensure additional energy savings, a significant reduction in maintenance and personnel costs, a longer service life for the filter modules and consistent filter separation performance. The cleaning programmes can be freely configured and the cleaning intervals can be individually controlled in order not to interrupt ongoing production.

Brueckner says it is the only supplier on the market to offer all heat-recovery and exhaust air cleaning components from a single source and its new energy and environmental technology team is available to provide expertise on all aspects of the company’s state-of-the-art technology, backjed up by years of experience.
