Two Mammut garments engineered with Polartec fabrics have claimed 2024 ISPO Awards.
The Eiger Nordwand Advanced ML hooded jacket and Eiger Nordwand FL air mesh vest have been recognised for pairing high-performance with best-in-class fabric innovation that favours the use of recycled and recyclable materials.
The Eiger Nordwand is a durable, breathable mountaineering midlayer that excels in warmth, stretch and resilience. Crafted with a combination of Power Stretch Pro and Polartec Power Dry fabrics, its use of post-consumer recycled nylon delivers optimal warmth, four-way stretch and abrasion resistance. The jacket’s Polartec Power Dry mesh fabric inserts, made with 100% recycled polyester, provide optimal airflow in high-sweat zones to improve breathability, moisture management and drying time. As a result, the highly versatile hooded midlayer ensures optimal insulation, stretch, freedom of movement and abrasion resistance.
Mammut’s Eiger Nordwand FL air mesh vest features Polartec Alpha, a lightweight next-to-skin insulation that combines functionality and minimal weight with highly breathable thermoregulation. It is also made from recycled materials.
“These awards underscore Polartec’s commitment to advancing fabric innovation,” said Karen Beattie, director of product management at Polartec. “It’s an honour to partner with Mammut to achieve these milestones.”
