Advansa Thermocool Duoregulation technology is being featured in the professional shirts that will be given to each participant of the third Thermocool Dynafit Dachstein Triple race, with the aim of helping athletes to adapt to the changing thermal conditions during the race.
The Dachstein Triple will take place in Schladming, Austria, on 8 June 2013. The race covering three athletic disciplines and the Alpine area is expected to feature top international athletes.
The three disciplines’ race will start in Schladming and finish at the Dachstein mountain at an altitude of 2,995 metres.
Over a distance of 27 kilometres, the race is divided into the three disciplines: starting with an Alpine Biking leg of 20.1 km with a total climb of 1320 metres, then Alpine Running for 3 km and 400 metres total climb and finally Ski Running of 3.5 km and 800 metres total climb.
As the race moves through constantly changing temperatures, racers will experience different weather changes within a short time. The high summer-like temperatures expected at Schladming in the valley will contrast with the cold weather at the Dachstein Cable car Station, where the race will finish.
Working with Dachstein Triple, Advansa offers professional shirts featuring its Thermocool Duoregulation technology that is said to provide the needed duoregulation properties for athletes and wearing comfort during the race.
The shirts’ fabric is designed to adapt to the thermal needs of the user and provide evaporative cooling or thermobuffering functions. Due to this special fibre technology optimal temperature adaption of the body helps to keep the wearer cool and dry during physical activity and thermobalanced during temperature changes.
A leading supplier of polyester fibre, filament and specialities, operating principally in Europe, Advansa is known for its range of branded and high-tech polyester fibres, and its capacity for innovation.
Products featuring Advansa Thermocool Duoregulation are also available with a polymer from renewable sources, with silver ions imbedded in the polymer and made with fire retardant materials.
