Messe Frankfurt Trade Fairs India Pvt Ltd, in collaboration with Concept N Strategies, has announced the debut of the ‘Sporttech Pavilion’ at Techtextil India 2025. The new initiative will spotlight India’s rapidly advancing sports and activewear textiles sector, offering a dedicated platform for innovation in high-performance, sustainable and smart textile solutions.

Set within the broader context of Techtextil India, this specialised zone will cater to the booming demand for fitness and sportswear materials such as moisture-wicking fabrics, compression textiles, breathable garments and sustainable alternatives. The launch reflects the broader transformation underway in India’s sports textiles industry, fuelled by shifting consumer preferences, material innovation and growing government backing.

Raj Manek, Executive Director & Board Member at Messe Frankfurt Asia Holdings Ltd, described the Pavilion as a natural progression of the Techtextil vision: “Sporttech Pavilion offers a focused space for sports and performance textiles, an industry witnessing phenomenal growth globally. It will benefit manufacturers and buyers alike, giving direct access to game-changing technologies.”

Kishan Daga, Founder of Concept N Strategies, added: “India’s fitness and sports textile sector is on the brink of a breakthrough. The Sporttech Pavilion will be a world-class platform that enables Indian manufacturers to showcase their capabilities to a global audience.”

IMARC Group reports the Indian sportswear market reached USD 10.2 million in 2024 and is expected to grow to USD 16.6 million by 2033 at a CAGR of 5.1%. Globally, the sportswear market is forecast to grow from USD 206.64 billion in 2024 to USD 350.45 billion by 2032, according to Fortune Business Insights.

The Sporttech Pavilion will welcome exhibitors across a diverse product range including technical fabrics, recycled textiles, smart wearables, performance coatings, and sports-related accessories and equipment. Visitors can expect participation from global sportswear retailers, designers, sourcing specialists, and technology providers.

By leveraging Messe Frankfurt’s international network and Concept N Strategies’ activewear expertise, the Pavilion aims to support Indian brands in reaching international markets while attracting global innovations to India. Additionally, Techtextil India 2025 will continue to focus on medical textiles through its MEDITEX platform in partnership with the South India Textile Research Association.

This strategic initiative not only positions India as a growing force in performance textiles but also strengthens Techtextil India’s role as a hub for technical textile innovation.
