The new issue highlights the latest trends in denim fabrics and production techniques, placing special emphasis on textile finishing with the company’s range of Montex stenters and Monfortex compressive shrinking ranges.
Fashion trends
The magazine illustrates the latest denim fashion trends introduced at the Denim Premiere Vision exhibition. It includes a recycled denim collection from Artistic Denim Mill; sustainable credentials from Soorti Enterprises; Bi-stretch technology with Lycra Dual FX from Çalik Denim; collaboration by Naveena Denim with renown designer François Girbaud; and new durable knit fabrics from Ariteks Boyacilik for Athleisure wear.
In total, the show featured more than 20 global denim producers relying on the benefits of Monforts finishing lines.
The magazine also includes a report on Resource-optimised shrinkage technology for basic and sensitive denim fabrics by Monforts Denim Specialist, Hans Wroblowski. An in-depth technical essay is also featured highlighting denim finishing.
Technology
For decades, the Montex stenter frame has been used for finishing treatment of woven and knitted fabrics. The universal and modular Monforts stenter principle is said to offer an individual adaptation to all the demanded finishing effects – and at the same time versatile applications for the range.
Monfortex shrinking ranges are designed to result in a significantly reduced energy and water consumption during compressive shrinking, as well as up to 20% higher production speed possible. Some of the characteristics also include larger shrink cylinder for longer shrinkage paths, further extended service life of the rubber blanket, improvement in the residual shrinkage values by up to 4%, and automated, operator-controlled grinding of the rubber belt for greater availability of the range and consistently high performance.
