X Tech, the Brescia-based specialist in technical sportswear and socks, has teamed up with Fulgar to incorporate its innovative Q-Skin yarn into a new line of high-performance garments. The collaboration brings together Italian design and advanced textile technology to enhance comfort and hygiene for athletes.

The new X Tech range features four garments made with Q-Skin: a long-sleeved zip cycling jersey, bib shorts, and two “Energy” jerseys – one short-sleeved and one long-sleeved. These pieces are designed for versatility, ideal for warm-weather training or as a base layer in colder conditions.

Fulgar’s Q-Skin yarn is a polyamide 6.6 fibre infused with silver ions during the spinning process. These ions help regulate bacterial growth by interacting with negatively charged bacteria, reducing their proliferation and mitigating unpleasant odours. The yarn’s bacteriostatic properties have been tested and proven effective against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, including Staphylococcus Aureus and Klebsiella Pneumoniae.

In addition to its antimicrobial performance, Q-Skin offers excellent breathability, freshness and skin compatibility, making it an ideal material for sportswear designed to perform under pressure.
